What can a podcast manager do for you?

People often have a good idea for a podcast, the content is not the problem but the thought of the technique of editing is one of the reasons why it stays in that idea status.

Another reason people have for leaving the podcast idea on the shelf is time. All tasks around creating a podcast take time. Time you rather want to spend on your core business. That is understandable because a podcast, like video and social media, does not immediately create revenue and your core business does.

It is a shame really if your podcast idea does not leave this initial idea status because podcasting is a very personal way to connect with potential clients or customers. A podcast allows you to show your expertise and passion for your niche. You can also promote your brand, a new service you are providing, a new product your company is bringing on the market or perhaps a new book you have written or a course you have created. But most of all you can reach hundreds of potential clients or customers.

A solution is to hire a podcast manager. A podcast manager or producer job is still fairly new. The job title hasn’t even been clearly defined in the podcasting world so you will see both names pop up sometimes. More and more professionals and larger companies are starting to see the benefit of having a podcast but as I just mentioned don’t have the time or want to do it all by themselves, so that is where a podcast manager comes in. And what do you know, I happen to be a podcast manager. So what would I be able to do for you?

Editing:

During the launch of your podcast, I will support you in getting the right equipment, setting up the recording software and give you tips on recording techniques and the best place to record so you will create the best possible sound in your home studio. Once you have recorded you will provide me with the audio file which I will edit, I will take out filler words, the uhms, false starts and mistakes and add the earlier recorded intro/outro. I will level out and clean up the audio and provide you with a finished mp3 that you can review.

Publishing, writing episode description and show notes:

I will upload the finished mp3 to the hosting platform and write an SEO Keyword rich episode description with a summary of what the episode is about, the resources mentioned and contact details. I will write show notes for your website, SEO proof of course. which I will either upload for you to your website or provide you with the text so you can upload it yourself.

Social Media posts and Audiograms

To help you promote your podcast episodes I can create social media posts with quotes from the show and audiograms with snippets from the episode so all you need to do is posts these on your social media channels and engage with your listeners.

Analytics

Once a month I will provide you with the analytics of the show, which episodes did well, which didn’t, how many downloads, where your listeners are from, how old they are, their gender and via which apps or platforms they listen to your show so we can see if we are reaching your target audience and implement change and improvement when.

Guest Management

Researching the right guest for your show is time-consuming. Not to mention back and forth communication with your potential guest. I can find the right guest, take care of the initial contact, get their information, set up the recording time and date suited to both of you and have them sign a consent form. I will also inform the guest when the episode is published and ask them kindly to share the episode with their people.

Podcast Management

To have a clear and organised workflow I will create a Trello board for you where you can exactly see the status of the tasks outsourced to me. It is also a place to quickly leave behind ideas or research questions for me. I will also create a shared google drive where you can upload your recorded episode and where I can upload the edited version for your review and the social media posts and audiograms created, all in a clear folder structure.

These are all clear tasks that I can do but the best reason why hiring a podcast manager is a good idea is; teamwork. We will do this together, you will have a sparring partner for episode ideas, a coach for change and growth and a fan who supports and encourages you.

Your main focus will be creating amazing content and engagement with your audience with the comforting knowledge that all the other tasks will be taken care of. This leaves more room for creativity, your company, your employees and your personal life.

One of my clients recently said that I made podcasting easy for her because she is not technically editing anything nor publishing or doing any of the tasks I just mentioned. Podcasting is enjoyable and fun for her. She is getting so much feedback and is connecting with a lot of listeners

Another client said that she never thought how much work was involved in creating a podcast and that my continuing support has been invaluable to the success of her podcast.

I believe that a good quality podcast with amazing content and excellent sound quality can be a valuable addition to your growing business and I am here to support you to make that happen.
